Description An innovative and fast-growing biotech company in Carlsbad, CA is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Assistant to join their finance team. As the company continues to expand its research and product development efforts, the accounting team plays a critical role in ensuring financial accuracy and operational efficiency. In this role, you'll support day-to-day accounting functions, assist with financial reporting, and help maintain compliance with internal controls. Key Responsibilities: + Assist with daily bookkeeping tasks, including data entry and account reconciliations + Support the preparation of monthly financial statements and reports + Process vendor invoices and employee expense reimbursements + Help maintain accurate records of accounts payable and receivable + Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures + Collaborate with the finance team on budgeting and forecasting activities + Ensure compliance with internal accounting policies and procedures + Provide administrative support for audits and financial reviews Requirements + Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred + 1-2 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping, ideally in a scientific or technical environment + Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or Sage) + Solid understanding of financial reporting and compliance standards + Strong organizational skills and attention to detail + Excellent written and verbal communication skills + Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting + Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
