Description A fast-growing company focused on enhancing workplace experiences through innovative solutions and quality partnerships is looking for a Controller. As the organization continues to grow, they are restructuring their financial leadership model to include a Controller with a strong accounting background. This streamlined approach will ensure strategic oversight, operational excellence, and financial integrity. Position Overview We are looking for a hands-on, strategic, and detail-oriented Controller to lead our financial operations at our headquarters in Corona, CA. The Controller will oversee internal financial functions, manage relationships with external accounting partners, and work closely with the executive team to support data-driven decision-making and long-term growth. This role combines financial leadership with day-to-day operational accounting, making it ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic, growth-oriented environments and is ready to serve as the top in-house finance leader. Key Responsibilities + Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process, collaborating with external accounting partners. + Ensure the accuracy and compliance of financial reporting and internal records. + Develop and refine accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls. + Oversee accounts payable and receivable, general ledger maintenance, and payroll processing. + Lead annual budgeting and re-forecasting processes. + Prepare and present financial reports, variance analyses, and key performance indicators to the executive team. + Collaborate with department leaders to monitor budgets and support strategic financial planning. + Partner with senior leaders to supply financial insights for strategic decision-making. + Support capital planning, pricing strategies, and growth modeling. + Assess financial risks and recommend mitigation strategies. + Ensure adherence to GAAP standards and applicable tax regulations. + Facilitate coordination with external auditors, tax advisors, and legal counsel as needed. + Manage banking relationships, insurance policies, and corporate filings. Requirements Qualifications + Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA designation is preferred. + At least 6 years of progressive accounting/finance experience, ideally in a Controller role within a high-growth company. + Auditing experience, from a public firm is highly desirable. + Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and compliance regulations. + Experience working with external accounting vendors or consultants. + Ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to non-finance stakeholders. + Advanced proficiency in Excel; QuickBooks Online experience is required. + Self-starter mindset with the ability to adapt and excel in a fast-paced environment.
