We are looking for a dedicated Histology Technician like you to be a part of our team.Job Summary and QualificationsSeeking a Histology Technician to provide expertise and champion results. We are an amazing team that works hard to support each other and are seeking a phenomenal addition like you who feels the patient experience is as meaningful as we do.You Will:Perform stat procedures, timed studies, and routine tests within established turnaround time targetsEmbeds tissue specimens in correct orientation at a rate of 45 - 60 seconds per blockSections paraffin blocks at an average rate of 35 - 40 blocks per hourProduces sections of correct thickness with a minimum of cutting artifactsPerform routine H & E stainPrepares smears, cell blocks, and Cytospin preparationsPerform quality control procedures per protocol and complete necessary documentation to maintain specimen integrity throughout all processesYou Should Have:A 2 Year/Associate Degree in Science requiredA State of Florida Technician License OR the ability to obtain a license during the interview processTechnical specialty in Histology1-2 years in a high-volume histology setting is helpfulHCA Healthcare Laboratory Services is a full service providerfor clinical laboratory and anatomic pathology services, providing hospitals, physicians, and clients withtimely diagnostic information for patient care.
