Job Description

Mobile Health Team Inc., a staffing agency, has an opening for a CT / Radiology Technologist. We are looking for someone with a passion for people.

Location: Chariton, IA, 50049

Assignment Start Date: 6/17/2025

13 weeks | Nights |8/10-hour shift | 30 hours guaranteed weekly

Performs radiographic procedures to assist in the diagnosis of diseases and injuries. Works effectively with patients and patients' families and maintains a cooperative relationship with physicians, as well as other interdepartmental personnel.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, and both a high standard of courtesy and cooperation in dealing with co-workers, patients, and visitors, and satisfactory job performance despite the stress of a hospital work environment.

  • Wears appropriate apparel for the position and displays a nametag upon such apparel.
  • Regular and predictable work attendance.
  • Positions patient in appropriate position in relationship to equipment used, adjusts immobilization devices, and affixes lead plates or aprons to protect unaffected areas.
  • Prepares and administers drugs or chemical mixtures orally as enemas, or IV, if trained, to render organs opaque.
  • Adjust KV & MAS regulating length and intensity of exposure.
  • Assists with patient scheduling and understanding preparations for each exam.
  • Takes verbal and written orders from physicians or their designees.
  • Assists in the training of new employees.
  • Assesses the patient's condition.
  • Ensures required consent forms are signed before examinations.
  • Performs clerical duties including filling, charges, audits, etc.
  • Transports patients.
  • Cleans and maintains rooms and equipment, including cassettes as needed.
  • Copies outgoing films as needed.
  • Rotates shifts and participates in the "on-call" schedule regularly as assigned (20-minute response time).
  • Actively participates in quality assurance monitoring and recording efforts of the department.
  • Direct exposure related to handling radiographic processing materials.
  • Prepares reports and maintains records of service rendered.
  • Makes minor adjustments to equipment.
  • Makes the patient feel comfortable and at ease during the procedure.
  • May assist in therapy requiring application of radium or radioactive isotopes.
  • Performs with minimal supervision the technical work in the various phases of radiologic technology as assigned, including general radiology, fluoroscopy, portable, surgical, emergency, ultrasound, CT, C-ARM, teleradiography, and dark room duties, also assists with mammography, nuclear medicine, and MRI, and film copier.
  • Assists the Radiologist as needed
  • Participates in meetings, committees, continuing education, and special projects as designated.
  • Attend meetings and in-services as required
  • Other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATION

Experience:

  • Previous experience preferred

Education:

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Graduate of an approved radiology technology program

Licenses, Certifications, and/or Registration:

  • American Registered Radiology Technologist (ARRT) certified
  • Current Iowa permit to practice
  • Certification in CT is required
  • Certification and/or training in Mammography and Ultrasound preferred, but not required
  • Healthcare Provider BLS certification
  • Mandatory Abuse Reporter certification within 6 months of hire

EMR System: EPIC experience preferred

Shift: Friday, Saturday, Sunday 7 pm-530am
