**Job Description:** This is an entry-level position in the Facilities Management department. The position's work is focused on groundskeeping, and the caregiver may be assigned to work in a variety of areas of focus. The Maintenance Worker II - Grounds may also have opportunities to learn general building maintenance skills in a healthcare setting. **Shift and Schedule** This position is full time at 40 hours per week. The incumbent will work Monday-Friday, 6:00AM - 2:30PM. During the Summer, hours will shift to 5:00AM - 1:30PM. During the Winter months, call is required every 3rd week, Monday - Monday. **Essential Functions** + Maintains the appearance, condition, and safety of facility grounds, landscaping, parking areas, irrigation systems, and related equipment to meet seasonal needs. + Assignments may include planting, fertilizing, clipping, pruning, mowing, blowing, weeding, shoveling snow, plowing, irrigation monitoring, and applying chemical control products. + Have basic knowledge in landscape maintenance, including irrigation systems, and the use of insecticides and herbicides on turf, trees, and flowerbeds. **Skills** + Landscape Design + Planting + Weed Control + Water Conservation + Pesticides + Water + Herbicides + Green Houses + Pruning + Communication + Written Communication **Minimum Qualifications** + Some experience in groundskeeping or landscape maintenance. + Willingness to work hard and to learn. + A valid driver license may be required for this position. + Maintaining a clean and safe work environment by following established safety procedures and protocols. + The ability to work independently and as part of a team. + Good communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to follow instructions. **Preferred Qualifications** + Irrigation repair (Pesticide License) + Some knowledge in snow removal with a plow truck, snow blower, skid steer, etc. **Physical Requirements:** + Bending, lifting, stooping, crawling, laying, sitting, walking, climbing. + Use of hand and power tools, proper use of hearing and eye protection. + Exposure to extreme temperatures in nature, work in noisy or constricted spaces, exposure to odors and smells. **Location:** Intermountain Health Intermountain Medical Center **Work City:** **Work State:** **Scheduled Weekly Hours:** 40 The hourly range for this position is listed below.
