Job Description

We are seeking Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners (PMHNP) to expand access to behavioral health care in your area. If you're passionate about making a difference in mental health and committed to providing exceptional care, we would love to discuss this opportunity with you!

Our Commitment to You:

  • We extend a warm invitation to new PMHNP graduates. Our team is dedicated to delivering exceptional mental health care while fostering the professional development of our providers. During the first 8 weeks, we provide a more robust training and experiential learning environment, where there is additional support.

  • We are committed to providing competitive compensation for our clinicians, including a competitive base salary and a quarterly productivity-based bonus. We offer a comprehensive benefits package tailored specifically for clinicians, with a portion of healthcare premiums covered.

  • At Mindful Care, we strive to minimize administrative tasks and offer schedule flexibility, allowing clinicians to focus on providing excellent care while maintaining control over their schedule. We handle patient scheduling, prior authorizations, case management, billing, and other support functions.

  • Our efficiency enables us to offer better reimbursement rates and lower practice expenses, allowing us to pass on economic benefits to our clinicians. Additionally, we streamline the intake process by having clinical specialists gather patient information and conduct assessments, allowing clinicians to spend more quality time with their patients.

  • We welcome new graduates and provide a collaborator at no expense to supervise clinical work and sign off on accrued clinical hours. Our model emphasizes supportive therapy and non-stimulant or non-narcotic medication management for our patients.

Your Qualifications:

  • Completion of a Master's degree in nursing from an accredited program

  • Active RN license within the employed state

  • Board certification by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) as a PMHNP-BC is necessary-new graduates may apply, but cannot start until licensed.

  • APN authorization to practice family health within the employed state, as approved by the Board of Nurse Examiners

  • Possess an active DEA or have an application underway. We can assist you in obtaining licensure.

  • Authorization for prescription practice

  • Solid knowledge of related federal and state regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA compliance

  • Exceptional communication and patient/care delivery, along with strong leadership skills

  • Excellent ability to organize, with a team player mindset

  • Eagerness to engage with diverse groups

  • Supporter of LGBTQ+ initiatives

  • Bilingual abilities are advantageous

Why Choose Mindful Care:

  • Attractive salary package, including a base salary of $120,000 alongside quarterly performance incentives and per diem opportunities.

  • Employer contributions toward Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance

  • Enjoy a flexible working arrangement, with 50% remote telehealth work paired with 50% in-office consultations (work four days a week, 10 hours per day); all essential equipment supplied

  • Mindful Care provides a collaborator at no expense to you. The collaborator will be responsible for supervising your clinical work and signing off on all clinical hours accrued during your employment with us

  • Minimized administrative load with full-time in-house billing and appointment handling services

  • Licensing support if you are asked to obtain additional state licenses. Our credentialing department will be happy to assist in managing this process for you, and we cover the costs up front or will reimburse you if necessary.

  • Inclusive benefits package featuring 100% Employer-paid malpractice coverage, matched 401k plan, generous FTO, plus 8 holidays, paid parental leave, and more

  • Prospects for growth and professional improvement as the organization expands

  • Commitment to employee well-being as an organization centered on mental health care

  • Participate in globally sponsored company events, such as exciting Mindful Care summer activities and our annual Holiday Gala and Awards events

Position & Schedule Type

  • Type: Regular Full Time 4 day, 10 hour shift

  • Hours Scheduled Between: Monday-Friday, 8am-8pm

  • Location: Western Suffolk County, NY

  • Type : Hybrid - (2 days remote, 2 days in office)

Compensation

In addition to a highly competitive benefits package, Mindful Care's Full-Time Advanced Practice Provider (APP) compensation plan ranges from approximately $120K to $200K+ annually , consisting of a base salary and a monthly productivity incentive .

The standard base salary begins at $120K , with the opportunity to earn up to $80K annually in productivity incentives (*monthly bonuses, based on utilization metrics).

Most clinicians reach a total compensation of $155K-$160K once they achieve 55% utilization. Monthly productivity incentives are guaranteed during the onboarding ramp-up period to ensure financial stability as providers build their caseload.
